Kerrie has been taking photographs for most of her life, but focused more seriously on photography while in college. Kerrie earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography from Texas Christian University in 2001. In college, she focused mostly on conceptual art on labels and stereotypes.

Kerrie currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas, near the TCU campus. She has been shooting freelance and assisting since 1999. She is able to travel for photo shoots primarily in the DFW area, but will consider other proposals outside of the area.

Kerrie's main focus is portrait photography, digital retouching and a little graphic design on the side. She is also interested in continuing to build her artistic vita by exhibiting in art galleries, as well as collaborations on art pieces. Kerrie has been in group and juried shows all over Texas, as well as New York City.
